Activity Day and More!

Dear Parents,

Hope you all had a wonderful Tet holiday with your families and loved ones!

This week, the children came back recharged and excited with all the activities in and out of the classroom. We all think that they missed playing with each other and exploring the learning areas together.

This weeks' classroom activities are scooping gelli baff and crystals and filling cups in the investigation area, making oatmeal playdough in the malleable area, shaving foam and paint printing in the creative area, chalk drawing in the mark-making area, following shape patterns in the maths area and using hole punchers and scissors for fine motor skills development.

In the outdoor playgrounds, we have been playing running race and throwing javelins.

For our focus groups this week:

Ms Hoang brought the children in the Fundino playground and lead a running race.

Ms Grace facilitated an Interactive Whiteboard game about matching shapes.

Ms Crislet introduced some articulation exercise for language development.

Another exciting event that happened this week was the EYFS Activity Day! We would like to thank all of you for being with your child and joining in the fun activities we've prepared for the children. We hope you all had a wonderful time!

Here are the photos from this morning's Activity Day:

A big congratulations to all the children for actively participating and being brave in a new setting. Well done F1!

NOTICES:

We would like to welcome Scarlett and her family in our F1 unit. We hope to have many fun memories with you this year!

Thursday 25th February is our Science Day. Parents are all invited to come and join your child at 2pm in the classroom for some Science experiments. Please see separate post about this.

Splash Pool Sessions are every Tuesday and Friday. Please be reminded to bring your child's splash pool kit (swimsuit and towel - all labelled with your child's name) on these days.

Weekend/Holiday Photos: Please upload any weekend/holiday photos of you and your family on your child's blog or send them to us via email (Ms Grace: gracemaling@bisvietnam.com - Ms Crislet: crisletsilva@bisvietnam.com) so your child can share them in class.

Favourite Storybook Bag: Starting next week, each child will have  a turn in bringing home our 'Favourite Storybook' bag and put his/her favourite book in. He/She will then share his/her book in class and tell something about it. This activity is intended to support children's language development and build their confidence when expressing their ideas.

Thank you!

Have a fantastic weekend!

Kind Regards;
Ms Crislet, Ms Grace and the F1 Team
